Biography

Dr. Pezaris is an Assistant in Neuroscience in the Department of Neurosurgery at Massachusetts General Hospital, and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at Harvard Medical School. He heads the Visual Prosthesis Laboratory on the MGH Boston campus that investigates development of a sight restoration using thalamic microstimulation. He holds S.B. and S.M. degrees from MIT in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, and a Ph.D. from Caltech in Computation and Neural Systems. After his post-doctoral training at Harvard Medical School, he joined the faculty at MGH / HMS where his laboratory is part of the Center for Nervous System Repair.
