Life Science Cluster BioRN Brings Baden-Württemberg To Berlin
Here at XPOMET, we believe in building strategic partnerships and winning over key partners. We are glad to announce our latest partner, BioRN, a cluster representing life science research and industry from the Rhine-Main-Neckar region, split between Baden-Württemberg, Hesse and Rhineland Palatinate in Germany. They are developing the Rhine-Main-Necker Region into a world-leading territory. Thanks to the region’s healthy start-up industry, global-facing businesses and a mixture of public and private investment, Rhine-Main-Necker is poised to transform the biomedical world.
By aggregating the most important players in the region all in one place, BioRN helps to accelerate that technological innovation. Companies part of the cluster get an instant access to a large network and various facilities through the resources from the cluster. They have built a strong international-facing regional industry, organising regular events, conferences and workshops for and by members of its community. Their aim is to help create the next generation of biotech companies in the region, turning the Rhine-Main-Necker region into a world-respected hub for innovation.
The Network Association has around 100 members, including 80 small and medium enterprises. These include renowned research institutions such as the University of Heidelberg, the German Cancer Research Center, the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL), Mannheim University of Applied Science, University of Kaiserslautern and Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and Fraunhofer IBB; Global Pharma Companies such as ABBVie, Boehringer Ingelheim, Cellzome, Janssen Cilag, Merck and Roche and Sanofi-Aventis; and local authorities like the City of Heidelberg and Mannheim. Members can gain access to a strong network, collaboration opportunities, tools for facilitated technology transfer, business acceleration and increased visibility. They also offer prizes and competitions featuring sizeable financial incentives.
Xpomet will be giving a short talk on June 25th at BioRN lounge event from BioRN. We thank BioRN for this opportunity and wish to grow together as an ecosystem. If you want to learn more about BioRN, just head on over to their website now!
