Between 2015-2019, Lars-Torsten was Director for Knowledge-Based Policy of Health Care and Chief Medical Officer at the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare. Lars-Torsten was the Chairman of the board of the Swedish National Centre for Priority Setting in Health Care and the Swedish National Board of Screening. He was also a member of the Board of the Swedish Agency for Health Technology Assessment and Assessment of Social Services. He is a Medical Doctor and specialist in Pediatric Surgery with a PhD and Associate Professor at University of Lund, Sweden. Lars-Torsten previously held the post of Head of Pediatric Department at the University Hospital in Lund. He has also been head of various hospital divisions and been a member of the Board of Directors at the University Hospital of Lund, the Skane University Hospital and the Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm Sweden. He has a profound knowledge in change management within the healthcare sector (winner of the Swedish Lean prize at Karolinska University Hospital in 2014).

Anna is acceleration manager, currently in charge of European health innovation projects at Cap Digital – largest French digital cluster associating over 1000 leading ICT partners from the Paris region. She is also involved in start-ups acceleration programmes of EIT Health – one of the largest healthcare initiatives worldwide. Having collected managerial experience in 4 European countries, she strives to boost cross-borders collaborations at the edge of innovation and business.
Henning C. Schneider
Dr. Henning C. Schneider is a partner in the Hamburg office of Latham & Watkins, Co-Chair of the firm’s Healthcare Services & Providers and Life Sciences Industry Groups. He is a member of several supervisory boards and President of the American Chamber of Commerce, Northern Chapter. Mr. Schneider is an Alumnus of the German National Academic Foundation (Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes). Dr. Schneider focuses on advising international and national corporates, PE investors, and public organizations on: M&A/PE transactions, joint ventures, restructurings, carve-outs, and privatizations. He offers broad industry expertise in healthcare/life sciences, financial services, infrastructure, automotive, real estate, and energy/cleantech.

Isabelle Vézina is the Executive Director of Hacking Health, a global organization with a mission to bring innovation to healthcare. Gurjit Singh
Ambassador Gurjit Singh is a senior Indian diplomat with 37 years of experience. He has been the Ambassador of India to Germany, Indonesia and ASEAN and Ethiopia and the African Union besides having been in in Japan, Sri Lanka, Kenya and Italy on assignment. He has authored four books the last of which was Opportunity Beckons: Adding Momentum to the Indo-German partnership which focused on how India and Germany can diversify and intensify their relations in a globalizing world as good partners. He frequently contributes on economic, developmental, strategic and trade issues to various journals and books. He has an abiding interest in developmental economics and issues of sustainable development. He is an Honorary Professor of Humanities at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Indore. He Chairs the CII business Task Force on Trilateral Cooperation in Africa.

Bettina Borisch
Dr Borisch is an MD and a Histopathologist, MPH and Fellow of the Royal College of Pathology (UK). Her scientific research work delves into neoplastic lesions of the immune system and breast cancer. Her interests also include community-based oncology, as well as health communication and global health. She is the Editor in Chief of “Pathobiology” and the Co-Editor of “Journal of Public Health Policy”. In addition to her academic work she acts as the Director of the World Federation of Public Health Associations and holds positions at several Committees of Public Health oriented institutions. She was president of Europa Donna – The European Breast Cancer Forum – and Founding President of the Swiss Forum of Europa Donna. She teaches at the University of Geneva, the Swiss School of Public Health and she also teaches patient support groups. She is author of over 120 scientific papers and 2 books.
Lawrence Friedman
Dr. Friedman is the Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs, Professor of Pediatrics and Medicine and CEO of the International Clinical Programs at UC San Diego Health System (UCSDHS) and School of Medicine. As the CEO of International Clinical Programs Dr. Friedman works closely with foreign embassies, health ministries and insurance companies to assure individuals worldwide have access to the clinical expertise available at UC San Diego Health System. As a Professor in the School of Medicine, Dr. Friedman is involved with training the next generation of physicians. He works closely with physicians locally and around the world to educate on a variety of topics, most recently related to IT and the application of Telemedicine. Dr. Friedman co-founded the UC San Diego Telemedicine program and has guided its growth throughout California and into several international locations. He also serves as the physician champion for Telemedicine collaboration between all six University of California health sciences campuses. He was also one of the early architects of the UCSDHS electronic health record strategy, data warehouse and health information exchange. His other responsibilities include measurement and improvement of clinical quality in the ambulatory and community setting and has served on several national Committees focused on Quality including the National Quality Forum, Agency for Health Care Research and Quality, University HealthCare Consortium. He is the past UC San Diego Division Chief of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine as well as the Medical Director of Ambulatory Quality and Safety. Dr. Friedman has authored more than 60 publications and is a reviewer for several peer-reviewed medical publications. Dr. Friedman is also the recent past President of the Board of Trustees of the Museum of Photographic Arts in San Diego and is currently a member of the Board at the La Jolla Playhouse.
