Inside XPOMET© Returns with an Interview with John Nosta

With the preparations for XPOMET© Medicinale 2020 already hotting up, we are happy to announce the return of our podcast series, Inside Xpomet. To kick off the series, we interviewed one of the worlds leading digital health influencers, John Nosta, to gather dynamic feedback on the festival and to think forward towards next year’s event.

John Nosta brings a unique perspective. With both expertise at Harvard and Boston University in biophysics and cardiovascular psychology and marketing experience working for firms such as Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson and Genentech, he leads the way in translating big scientific ideas to wider audiences. In 2014, he founded his own digital health think tank NostaLab, which he describes as “envisioning the future – empowered by technology, brilliance and perseverance of digital health and the bold future of medicine.”

He is an established speaker and gave a talk at XPOMET© Medicinale entitled “Critical View on Current and Future Healthcare Strategy Planning” as part of the Futurists session. This expertise makes him the perfect person to ask for feedback on XPOMET© Medicinale 2019 and for moving forward towards XPOMET© Medicinale 2020.

Whether its the power of big data versus its ethical concerns, the encroachment of big tech into the pharmaceutical industry or bridging the gap between marketing and scientific research, our 30 minute chat dived deeper into the themes of his talk. We thank John for his time speaking to us and look forward to seeing him again next year!
