AUMA OBAMA
Born and raised in Kenya, Dr. Obama studied in Germany, obtaining a Masters degree at the University of Heidelberg. She completed her doctorate studies at the University of Bayreuth and also graduated from the Berlin Film and Television Academy. Dr. Obama lived and worked in Germany and the UK for several years before returning to Kenya to work for the humanitarian agency, CARE International. A key component of her work there was to create and coordinate Sport for Social Change Network, a global initiative that uses sport as a tool for social change. Dr. Obama is the Director of the Sauti Kuu Foundation (www.sautikuufoundation.org), which she founded in 2010 Dr Auma Obama. Sauti Kuu (Kiswahili for ‘Powerful Voices’) seeks to give a voice to financially and socially disadvantaged children and youth. Using a Self-Help Model of intervention the Foundation works to unlock their potential and enable them to improve their lives. Dr Obama also has held/ holds the following positions: Trustee of the Jacobs Foundation (2011 – 2015), Councilor of the World Future Council (2015 - Current), Patron of the Storymoja International Festival (2014 – Current) and the WELT Business Club (2017). Trustee of the Stiftung Lesen (German Reading Foundation (2015 – 2017), and a Council Member of the Kilimanjaro Initiative since 2014. Trustee of the Jim Button Foundation, Dr. Obama is the Initiator of the Sauti Kuu Act Now Youth Awards. Dr Obama is also a published author. Her memoir ‘Das Leben kommt immer dazwischen’, was first written and published in German in 2010. The English edition ‘And Then Life Happens’ later came out in 2012. She has been awarded numerous prizes for her humanitarian work as well as an international Speaker. Dr. Obama, is an alumni of the Rockefeller Foundation‘s Bellagio Centre Residency Program.

Dr Arun Shanbhag, PhD, MBA is the Chief Innovation Officer, Manipal Academy of Higher Education and Professor of Biomedical Engineering at the Manipal Institute of Technology. Previously, he was on the faculty of Orthopedic Surgery, Harvard Medical School, Boston. Dr Shanbhag is the recent recipient of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Grand Challenge Explorations Award. At the Innovation Center, Dr. Shanbhag inspires students to follow design thinking principles and develop innovations to solve local problems. Ashish Sharma, PhD is a Clinical/Medical leader with management experience and a passion for healthcare. Currently working at Roche Diagnostics as Clinical Science Leader with a major focus on leading companion diagnostics projects for Oncology along with translation of Medical Strategy to Clinical Development. Ashish has over a decade of diverse experience in preclinical & clinical development of novel diagnostic biomarkers and therapies. He has previously worked as Scientist/Team Leader at various matrix-structured organizations such as UniversitätsSpital Zürich and Cellworks Group Inc. where he handled cross functional global projects in Clinical and Pharmaceutical domains. Ashish, received his Ph.D. from University Hospital of Zürich, Switzerland in Radiation Oncology and has nearly twenty publications and over 500 citations.
BABETTE SIMON
Babette Simon is Associate Professor at the Medical Faculty Paris Descartes and former Managing Director and Regional Vice President of Medtronic Germany. Prior she has held the position of the Chief Medical Officer and Chairwomen of the University Medical Center Mainz and as the President of the Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg, establishing a novel European Medical School in cooperation with the Dutch University Groningen She has wide national and international experience across the health system in non-private and private organizations with a strong focus on innovation management and value in health. An area of special activity is emerging technologies and their implementation to further advance quality and safety of patient care and self-health management. She is a member of the University Council of the Technical University Dresden and the University of Applied Sciences Fulda, the Scientific Advisory Board of the Private Excellence Initiative Johanna Quandt, the GEOMAR Board of Trustees and chairs the LBG scientific advisory board. She served as a member of the scientific commission and medical committee of the German Council of Science and Humanities, the Senate of the Helmholtz Association of German Research Centers, the Supervisory Boards of the University Hospital Düsseldorf, the Technology & Start-up Centre Oldenburg and the TRON Translational Oncology Mainz, the Council of the Institute for Information Technology (OFFIS) and chaired the shareholder meeting Hearing Aid System Technology. She received her medical degree and doctorate from the University of Freiburg, graduated in Business Administration and Management in Health Care from the University of Mannheim/Heidelberg and completed a Research fellowship in Molecular Biology at the MGH, Harvard Medical School. She was trained in Internal Medicine with a specialization in Gastroenterology, acquired special qualification in emergency medicine, nutritional medicine and radiation protection, and headed the Molecular Biology Research Laboratory with a focus on GI Oncology at the University Hospital Marburg, where she holds an extraordinary professorship. She is the author of numerous international and national publications, invited lectures and review activities.

Bart de Witte hails from Antwerp, Belgium and lived in Brussels, Zürich, Vienna before calling Berlin his home in 2016. He is an inspiring and award winning digital health tech leader. He is the founder of HIPPO AI, an NGO that focusses on Open Sourcing Medical AI, and the founder of the DHealth Academy based in Berlin. He is part of the founding faculty of the European Institute of Exponential Technologies and Desirable Futures, futur.io. An institute that focusses on finding alternative European strategies for this current post-modern era and creating new methodologies for opening up chinks between the diverse possibilities and preferences for more ideal futures offering a greater social benefit. With his mission to use technology for the greater good, Bart has been on a mission to harness the power of artificial intelligence to help to solve current and future inequalities in healthcare. ARNO M. ROSSLA
Arno M. Roßlau, MD, is a retired general of the German Armed Forces Medical Corps. In the wake of his military career he was educated in all disciplines of military medicine, especially in leadership on the level of general staff. In all his missions, which he was responsible for, he followed his knowledge to a comprehensive degree. He is highly educated in planning, strategic and conducting of operations of German MOD for medical national and international missions. At last, he was the commander of GERMAN Medical Command I, in KIEL. His task was to support all out of area missions between 2002 -2008. He temporarily joined the Headquarters of NATO, EU and UN for missions in IFOR/SFOR Bosnia, UNSCOM Irak, UNTAET Osttimor and other special missions as Medical Advisor. His extraordinary profession involved strategy and the conducting of operations.
ANTHONY ATALA
Dr. Atala is the Director of the Institute for Regenerative Medicine, and Chair of Urology at Wake Forest University. He is Editor in Chief of Stem Cells Translational Medicine and BioPrinting. Dr. Atala is a recipient of the US Congress funded Christopher Columbus Award, the World Technology Award in Medicine, the Samuel Gross Prize, the Innovation Award from the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, and the Edison Science/Medical Award. He was elected to the National Academy of Medicine in 2011, and to the National Academy of Inventors in 2014. His work was listed twice in Time Magazine’s top 10 medical breakthroughs of the year. He was named by Scientific American as one of the world’s most influential people in biotechnology in 2015. He also received the Innovator of the Year Award from R & D Magazine in 2016. Dr. Atala has led several NIH working groups and was the Founder of the Regenerative Medicine Foundation. He heads a team of over 450 researchers, and twelve applications of technologies developed in his laboratory have been used clinically. He is editor of 14 books, has published over 500 articles and has applied for or received over 250 national and international patents.
ANTON SCHILLING
Anton is Manager of Pioneers Discover, the consultancy arm at Pioneers. A technology enthusiast specialising in helping corporates achieve their innovation goals through open innovation and intrapreneurship, he has experience organising and planning hackathons, innovation workshops, accelerators and startup-corporate collaboration programs. In the past 5 years he has built up a team of 20 people in the headquarters in Vienna and has consulted a large number of international clients such as Merck, Roche and BBraun.
ARNO ELMER
The graduate business economist and business information scientist earned his doctorate in the field of health sciences. He holds a Master of Laws degree with a focus on data and consumer protection on the Internet. He taught at the Protestant University in Nuremberg, Faculty of Health and Nursing, and since 2008 at the FOM, University of Economics and Management in Berlin and Nuremberg, including health economics. Over the past 20 years, he has gained sound experience as a manager, managing director and board member in top companies in the management of complex IT projects, in the introduction of card- and online-based payment systems and in the successful restructuring and reorientation of companies. Until mid-2015, he was Managing Director of gematik, Gesellschaft für Telematikanwendungen der Gesundheitskarte mbH, and implemented the turnaround of the largest European eHealth project. Prof. Dr. Elmer has headed the "Digital Health Research Group" at FOM for several years. Together with other eHealth experts, it initiates research projects and publishes specialist publications on current developments in the field of digitisation in the healthcare sector. The range of services also includes the organisation of events and active participation in congresses. Naturally the results and experiences from the interaction of theory and practice flow into the project of the INNOVATION HEALTH PARTNERS as well as into the teaching activity at the FOM.
ANNA VONNEMANN
Anna Vonnemann studied biology and is a painter. For many years she worked as an illustrator and consultant for medical drawings for companies such as Johnson&Johnson, Beiersdorf, Waldemar Link and Thieme Verlag. After her two-year-old daughter, Dindia Gutmann, was diagnosed with "hemiparesis" after a stroke, she began to deal with this topic and developed a therapy program together for her daughter. This consists on the one hand of a special gait training and on the other hand of a biofeedback device which imitates the control mechanism of the movement control and is used to improve the disturbed proprioception of the hemiparesis patient. She now has 27 years of personal experience with hemiparesis. In 2014, she founded ReMoD to advance the experience and success she has gained with her daughter and make it available to others.
ANKE DIEHL
Dr. med. Anke Diehl, M.A. is Digital Change Manager at the University Medical Center Essen and responsible for the implementation of innovative projects within the scope of the Smart Hospital's digitization strategy. As a physician, she has worked clinically and scientifically in neurology, psychiatry, neuroradiology and radiology. After a part-time Master's degree in Management, she left university medicine for more than eight years and worked for the subordinate department of the North Rhine-Westphalian Ministry of Health, where she headed the Department of Supply Structure Development at LZG.NRW from 2012 to February 2018. She is a board member of SMITH (MII), an expert on the Medical Advisory Board for the development of the telematics infrastructure in NRW and spokesperson for the working group "Digitisation and Personalisation" of the Medical.NRW Cluster.

Anne Schreiter is Executive Director of the German Scholars Organization (GSO), a non-profit that advocates for researchers and scientists, offering programs and training for academics to build impactful careers – in academia and beyond. Anne studied Communication in Social and Economic Contexts at the Berlin University of the Arts and Chinese Language and Culture in Nanjing und Shanghai. After her PhD in Organization Studies and Cultural Theory at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland, she spent a year as postdoctoral researcher at the University of California at Berkeley.

Dr. Andreas Tecklenburg became member of the Board of Directors and CEO of the Medical School of Hannover (MHH) in 2004. Prior to his position at the MHH he worked as Executive Director at the Sana Clinics Corporation, a large private hospital operator. He was in charge of over 60 clinics with respect to medicine, processes, IT, structure and technology. Dr. Tecklenburg gathered his first experiences as Executive Director in three clinics of the Ostholstein Clinic GmbH in 1996. He is trained specialist in Anaesthesiology. Since 2004, he has been a member of the executive board for the health care department of the Hannover Medical School, and at the same time vice president of the university. Since 2008, he has also been the director of the Institute for Applied Hospital Management (ISAK). Dr. Andreas Mauroschat is a partner and heads the German practice group Labour Law, IT/Data Protection and Compliance of the international law firm Ashurst LLP. Andreas Mauroschat advises German and international clients on all current labour, occupational pension and data protection issues. One of his main areas of expertise are complex data protection projects in an international environment, for example the outsourcing of data processing processes and international data transfer concepts within corporate groups. Andreas Mauroschat regularly conducts compliance investigations for clients, often in connection with fraud investigations or data protection violations. ANDREW ULLMANN
Born on January 2, 1963 in Los Angeles, USA; Roman Catholic; married; two children. His childhood spent Ullmann in Los Angeles until he moved in 1972 with his family back to Germany. After graduating from the Reichenbach High School in Ennepetal in 1981, he studied human medicine at the Ruhr University Bochum and graduated in 1987 with the medical state examination. During his time as an assistant physician at the University Hospital at St. Josef Hospital in Bochum, he participated in clinical training at St Clare's Hospital / Spellman Center in New York City in the area of HIV / AIDS. Since 1995 he worked at the University Clinic Mainz. He trained as an infectiologist at Harvard Medical School from 1996-1998. He habilitated in 2008 in the Mainz University Medical Center and followed in 2012 a call to university professor at the University Hospital Würzburg. Ullmann is section spokesman for infectiology at the BDI (professional association of German internists) and assessor in the working group infections in hematology and oncology of the DGHO. Since 2015, he has been a lecturer at the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom.
ANANYA CHANDRA
Ananya is a lawyer turned entrepreneur turned innovation specialist. At Invest India, she heads the commercialisation vertical for AGNIi, the national innovation initiative of the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India. Previously, she headed the expansion drive for the world's largest women-tech startup, Sheroes, into South East Asia. Prior to Sheroes, Ananya co-founded Just Move, an award-winning health-tech startup which she then led to exit in 2016. She began her career with international law firm Clifford Chance LLP in London, with stints in Singapore and Abu Dhabi. Ananya is an alumnus of Stanford University's Institute for Innovation in Developing Economies and National Law School, Bangalore. She has lived and worked in 8 countries
ANDREA EGBRINGHOFF
Andrea Egbringhoff has made it her mission to combine ideas, information, and competencies across various emerging technologies. In 2017, she founded a Blockchain community that links EY colleagues from all departments to promote a holistic view of new business models. She is particularly interested in Identity Proof Use Cases, and the NFC chip in her hand makes her a subject of experimentation. Driven by the desire to learn more she has lived so far in 5 different countries, founded a startup, worked as a self-employed innovation consultant and works currently at the Technology Advisory of EY.

She serves on the board of Wirecard AG, a global Financial Services provider and easyJet, an airline based in the UK, where she is member of the Audit Committee. The book was published by Praeger in April 2018. Anastassia contributes several chapters to the book on Artificial Intelligence and Law by the American Bar Association, which will be released in Summer 2019. Anastassia contributes a chapter on Cognitive Science and Cognitive Computing to a Volume on Cognitive Computing by Apple Executive Series, to be released in late 2019. Anastassia has a PhD in Linguistics and Psychology.
ALEXANDRA VON KORFF
Alexandra started a blog to deal with the situation, motivate others and raise awareness, as cancer is still a taboo. Negligence does not protect though and she promotes regular self examinations, as breast cancer isn’t exclusively for the generation 60+ and incorrect diagnosis amongst young patients happens still too often. Her newest project is a podcast (2 Frauen, 2 Brüste - 2 women, 2 bosoms), which she runs with her fellow breast friend Paula Ellerbrock, covering several topics around cancer, like finances, chemos and administration. They are aiming to lift the tabu and in abreeze talk about the highs and the lows without trivializing it, as it is a life threatening disease.
ALEXANDRA MARISA WILCKE
Alexandra Marisa has felt very much at home in theatre, television, and dubbing studios alike. Her voice is known to millions in German speaking countries: Giving her voice to Eva Green in James Bond ‘Casino Royale’, as well as Miranda Otto in the ‘Lord of The Rings’ trilogy, Charlize Theron in ‘Devil’s Advocat’ or Kate Winslet in ‘Heavenly Creatures’ by Peter Jackson. Children’s ears love her voice as `Pocahontas` in the famous Disney film, as Nala in ‘The Lion King’ and Mama Imelda in Disneys Blockbuster 2017 `Coco` as well as in the audio book series ‘Bibi Blocksberg’. Dr. Alexander Schachinger, founder/ceo of EPatient Analytics GmbH, a market intelligence company for the digital healthcare market focussing on digital patient target groups, market scenarios and evidence-based practice. Alexander studied media economy in Berlin/Toronto, followed by a career in global med. companies and digital strategy consultancies. 2014 he finished his phd on the digital patient in Germany.

Alexander Ehlers provides leading health care corporations with comprehensive advice on all legal and strategic matters, in particular national and international pharmaceutical companies and manufacturers of medical devices. AGNIESZKA KRZEMINSKA
Economist and philosopher Agnieszka Krzeminska [agn'jeʃka kʃem'inska] is specialized on digital technology development and it's social adoption and implications. From 1996 she developed the Siemens Automotive Intranet and worked thereafter for big internet agencies. Since 2009 she runs her own agency Social Media Führerschein for Social and Digital Media Consulting and Strategy. Her customers include, among others, MOPO, Mediengruppe DuMont, Autovision, Carlsen Publishing and many more. She carries out research and teaches at the Leuphana University of Lüneburg as well at the University of Applied Sciences (HAW) in Hamburg in the realm of Digital Media and Cultures and has spoken at many scientific and business conferences worldwide. In addition she is the co-founder of the women’s business network Digital Media Women, organiser of the Quantified self Meetup in Hamburg, as well as advisory board for the yearly Social Media Week conference in Hamburg.
ADEBOWALE DANIEL BAKARE
Adebowale Daniel Bakare is a dynamic banking and finance professional with several years of experience in various management and planning position in Nigeria. He studied Agricultural Economics from the University of Ibadan, in Nigeria. He was also trained as a Project Manager in Development Cooperation in Germany, after which he worked briefly with the German African Business Association, where he was part of the team that successfully organised a couple of International Agribusiness and Finance Events. Earlier in 2019, he was appointed Country Leader, Innovate Africa Germany, where he is currently evaluating the possibilities of combining the trio of Agribusiness, Healthcare and Power as a means to empower the teeming African populace.

Achim Schütz currently works as clinic manager at Capio Elbe-Jeetzel-Klinik and as business consultant in the field of A.G.I.L.E. management / systemic leadership, controlling and strategy development. Before joining Capio, he worked as hospital manager and head of finance in hospital associations. Mr. Schütz is a qualified business economist, accountant, insurance businessman and has completed additional training as a certified systemic coach and mental coach (certified according to DGCO - Deutsche Gesellschaft für ganzheitliches Coaching) as well as a medical and psychotherapeutic hypnotherapist at the Centre for Applied Hypnosis. Dr. Sen’s program is interested in tissue injury and repair. His group works across small animals, large animal model to human and patient-based research. In the brain, specific focus is directed towards stroke biology and related neurodegeneration. In a 2017 publication in Nature Nanotechnology, the Sen Group reported successful tissue reprogramming in vivo and use of skin-derived reprogrammed neural cells to rescue the stroke-affected brain. Dr. Sen’s laboratory has concluded Phase I and Phase II stroke clinical trials and is currently planning a Phase III stroke trial testing the tocotrienol form of natural vitamin E. Almost two decades ago, Dr. Sen reported that the tocotrienol form of natural vitamin E is orders of magnitude better than the widely known tocopherol form of vitamin E in protecting neural cells and the brain tissue. This line of work progressed from rodent stroke to canine stroke to clinical trial. Dr. Sen’s work is cited 25,000+ times in the literature. At present, he is cited more than 2,000 times annually and has an H-index of 83.

Christian Klose has had a career at the AOK in various positions. Starting with an apprenticeship as a social security clerk and a later specialisation as a health insurance specialist at AOK Berlin, his path led him to regional responsibility as head of the customer service department at AOK Berlin. In 2007, he became a member of the AOK Berlin management team, with a focus on customer service, marketing and sales, corporate and private customer service and dental care. With the merger of AOK Berlin and AOK Brandenburg in 2010, he assumed the role of Managing Director in the newly created AOK Berlin-Brandenburg market management division. One year later, he also took over this role in AOK Nordost, which had emerged from another association with AOK Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Nothing is impossible — Constantin Wiesener has proven this with an innovative idea from the field of medical technology. The 34-year-old from Potsdam took first place at this year's Speed Lecture Awards at the BIONNALE in Berlin. Within only three minutes he was able to convince the audience of his research work. His goal: to enable wheelchair users to move their legs, such as cycling or swimming, by means of targeted functional electrostimulation (FES). Wiesener studied electrical engineering and audio communication at the TU Berlin. After working as a software developer at zplane.development and Native Instruments and as a control engineer at Berlin Heart GmbH, he has now returned to the TU to work on his doctorate in the field of control systems.

Christof von Kalle studied medicine at the University of Cologne from 1981 to 1987 and earned his doctorate there in hematology/oncology. He specialized in gene therapy during research stays at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York and at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, and became group leader of the Gene Therapy Program at the University of Freiburg in 1996. Starting in 2002, he served concurrently as professor of pediatrics and program leader of the Gene and Molecular Therapy Program at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in the United States. In 2005 he accepted an appointment as professor of translational oncology at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ), where he played a pivotal role in establishing the National Center for Tumor Diseases (NCT), a joint institution of DKFZ and Heidelberg University Hospital. For many years he served as spokesperson of the NCT’s Board of Directors. Since April 2018, he has also held the position of chief research officer at the Sidra Institute for Women and Children’s Health in Doha, Qatar. On June 1, 2019, Professor Christof von Kalle became a tenured professor of clinical translational sciences at the Berlin Institute of Health (BIH) and Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin.

David Oliva Uribe is currently the Head of the EUA Council for Doctoral Education. His work is focused on global trends in doctoral education, doctoral programmes and researcher career development. Before joining EUA, David worked for 15 years in research and academia in Belgium, Germany and Mexico. As researcher and team leader of a research group specialised in mechatronics, he gained experience in Germany working and establishing industry projects, as well as participating in the preparation and conduction of EU-funded projects in different university environments. Dario Wyss was born in 1984 in Aarau, Switzerland. He studied mechanical engineering at ETH Zurich and received his Masters degree in 2010. He joined the SMS Lab of Prof. Robert Riener in 2010 as a PhD student. His research focuses on rehabilitation engineering, especially on robot-aided gait rehabilitation. Since 2015 he has been Dean of the University's Health & Social Affairs department and director of the Research Institute for Health & Social Affairs. Desiree Dickerson
Desiree Dickerson, PhD is a neuroscientist and clinical psychologist who specialises in academic mental health and well-being. Based in Europe, she works with leading academic institutions, lab groups, and academics themselves to curate a healthier approach to research. Desiree graduated with her PhD and a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology from the University of Otago, New Zealand. Her PhD research in systems neuroscience used in vivo electrophysiology to explore impaired neural communication in model systems of schizophrenia. She then moved to the Institute of Science and Technology (IST) Austria for a postdoc in systems neuroscience. After witnessing (and experiencing) the unhealthy and counterproductive lifestyles demanded by the academic system and exacerbated by perfection, self-doubt, and uncertainty; she now employees her clinical training to help academics and institutions to navigate the challenges of academia with the goal of creating a research culture where individuals thrive alongside their research.
Dietmar Frey
Dietmar is a neurosurgeon by training and injects entrepreneurial spirit into research. After obtaining a law degree and passing the bar examination in Berlin in 2003 Dietmar went to Charité Medical School. In 2007, he graduated and specialized in the Charité Department of Neurosurgery. He is a certified board member in neurosurgery since 2013. His research focus has been in perioperative imaging and functional diagnosis before founding the research group Simulation-based Prediction of Stroke. For the last 4 years, he has been working on advancing stroke treatment by personalized imaging-based stroke prediction. Funded by several federal grants he has built a strong interdisciplinary team of physicians, software engineers and computer scientists to develop a decision support software that provides risk scoring and treatment planning in stroke. He is currently heading the research group "Predictive Modeling in Medicine" in the Charité.
Douglas Haggstrom
Douglas Haggstrom leads the DayOne accelerator, an accelerator for digital health companies that uses an ecosystem of experts to build the people, companies and products to improve their chance of impact. He has worked for more than 15 years with large and small companies in the healthcare, media, finance and industrial sectors, helping them think about and execute strategies around growth in Australia, Switzerland and Sweden. He was also the european manager of a Fintech startup for 5 years and has 5 years of experience as a drug development chemist with AstraZeneca. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Industrial Chemistry from the University of New South Wales and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance in his home country of Australia.
Dirk Hunstein
Dirk Hunstein, Dr. rer. medic, Diploma in Nursing Economics, RN, Managing Partner of ePA-CC GmbH. After training as a nurse and working in the field of haemato-oncology, he has held various positions as EFQM assessor up to head of nursing research/development and later quality management at the Dr.-Horst-Schmidt-Kliniken HSK in Wiesbaden. Accompanying this, he has repeatedly worked as an expert for the German Nursing Council, the Federal Ministry of Health, the German Advisory Board on Gerontology and as a referee on the Board of Consultants of the magazine "Pflege". Also teaching activities at the FH St. Gallen, the Frankfurt University and the University of Witten/Herdecke.
Dirk Stengel
Born 1969, raised, and studied medicine in Berlin, Germany. Devoted trauma surgeon under best conditions at the Unfallkrankenhaus Berlin, and with the help of extraordinarily talented colleagues. Employers allowed for spending time in the lab (Karolinska etc.) and even more time to reach a post-graduate Master degree in epidemiology. After (European) board approval in surgery and trauma surgery, a painful decision was made in favor of research and against the ED doctor's role. The PhD degree and full professorship at the Charité University was subsequently followed by an appointment of the BG Kliniken Group as head of research.
Dominik Pförringer
PD Dr. med. Dominik Pförringer is a specialist in orthopaedics and trauma surgery at the Klinikum rechts der Isar at TU Munich, where he researches and develops the field of digitisation and process optimisation. He is the initiator and organizer of the annual congress "Digital meets Clinical Healthcare" and the quarterly meeting "Digital Healthcare Entrepreneurship". Since his full-time MBA studies at INSEAD in Fontainebleau and Singapore, he has worked as a management consultant and advisor in the areas of private equity and venture capital, and also advises and supports healthcare start-ups. He also gives regular lectures on entrepreneurship for medical students and the TUM School of Management.

Drew Berry
Drew Berry is a biomedical animator who creates beautiful, accurate visualisations of the dramatic cellular and molecular action that is going on inside our bodies. He began his career as a cell biologist and is fluent navigating technical reports, research data and models from scientific journals. As an artist, he works as a translator, transforming abstract and complicated scientific concepts into vivid and meaningful visual journeys. Since 1995 he has been a biomedical animator at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research, Australia. His animations have exhibited at venues such as the Guggenheim Museum, MoMA, the Royal Institute of Great Britain and the University of Geneva. In 2010, he received a MacArthur Fellowship “Genius Grant”.
Eberhard Scheuer
Eberhard Scheuer is Chairman of the Health Information Traceability (HIT) Foundation, whose aim is to promote the digitization of health data in order to improve the exchange of information between healthcare stakeholders. His main interest is the use of blockchain technology in healthcare. He is also the founder of the Digital Health Forum, the leading Swiss conference on digital health, as well as managing director of the Swiss Digital Health Association (SVDG). He has been a lecturer on eHealth at the University of Zurich since 2006. He came into contact with this topic 20 years ago as a psychologist and then as head of Medical Online Consultancy Service at the University Hospital in Zurich.
Eileen Amberg
Eileen is a multimedia journalist, trained media trainer and editor of Achilles Running, one of the largest running websites in Germany. The passionate runner and audio lover has worked for various radio stations such as NRW Lokalfunk, 1LIVE and Deutschlandfunk Nova, where she specialises in gaming, apps and digital trends. She has also worked as a podcast editor for companies such as Lufthansa and Deutsche Telekom. In 2016 she won the LfM radio award for the series "Eine Woche ohne Plastik" (one week without plastic).

She serves as co-founder and CEO of the African Health Innovation Centre (AHIC), a Ghana-based NGO dedicated to engaging diverse stakeholders to improve health outcomes. Feodora Lenz
Feodora Lenz is a member of the innovation and cooperation team at the University of Göttingen. As an innovation scout, she supports the link between research and businesses in order to combine the expertise and ideas from scientists with local small and medium sized enterprises to solve R&D problems in joint projects. Within the university, she also looks for start-up ideas from research projects and supports the interdisciplinary exchange of ideas between scientists from different disciplines in order to facilitate new applied research projects. Frerk Müller-von Aschwege
Dr.-Ing. Frerk Müller-von Aschwege has a PHD in Computer Science focusing on model based telemedical exercise supervision of patients suffering from cardio vascular deceases. He has more than 10 years of research experiences in telemedical supervision of patients in mobile or ambulatory settings. He researched in more than 10 national and European projects and took leading positions especially in the field of smart device based systems. Research interests are focusing on on/in-body sensing and acting as well as standard based interoperability within the healthcare sector. Since 2018 Frerk is managing the biomedical devices and systems group at OFFIS focusing on smart telemedical technologies such as early thrombosis detection in left ventricular assist devices or cleaning ECG-Signals from Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) artifacts for usage in Automated External Defibrillators (AED).
