INNOVATION

A PITCH COMPETITION aimed at startups seeking angel or VC funding, where they can present their solutions to investors, receive feedback, and compete for cash prizes, offering an excellent opportunity to secure investment.

Concept – Pitch Competition

Pitch in Front of Leading Investors: Startups present their solutions to a panel of angel investors, venture capitalists (VCs) and innovation leaders from prominent companies.
Live Feedback: Receive direct, actionable insights and guidance from experienced industry professionals after each presentation.
Compete for a Cash Prize: Gain recognition and a chance to win the cash prize while benefiting from valuable feedback to enhance growth potential.

Application Process

Submit Your Pitch Deck: Startups submit their proposals through the XPOMET website for initial review.
Investor Review: Submissions are evaluated by the investor board, providing early exposure and potential investment interest.
Invitation to Pitch Live: Selected startups will present their ideas for 4 minutes at the event and receive 5 minutes of personalized feedback from the panel.

CHALLENGE

A collaborative event featuring workshops among key industry stakeholders and startups, refining their ideas, culminating in project presentations and awards for the best team, providing valuable expert guidance and recognition.

Expert Guidance

Workshop together in a group composed of relavant stakeholders such as project managers, tech people, doctors and scientists from startups and industry representatives. While workshopping, get support from legal advisors and design experts.

Accelerated Development

Fast-Track Development: Leverage a collaborative environment to rapidly validate and iterate on ideas, accelerating product development. Market Validation: Receive direct feedback from hospitals and healthcare professionals to ensure product-market fit and scalability.

Process

Pre-Workshop Application and Preselection:

Startups apply with team members; selection based on innovation potential and fit.
Preparation includes NDAs and basic cooperation agreements.

Day 1: Group Formation & Project Development:

Group Formation: Teams are formed with diverse expertise.
Concept Development: Collaborative brainstorming on problem-solving and solution design, supported by legal and design experts.

Day 2: Finalization and Pitching:

Solution Refinement: Groups finalize concepts, focusing on implementation plans.
Pitch Session: Each group presents their solution in a 15-minute pitch followed by a 5-minute Q&A. Awards are given based on health impact and potential.

Speakerprofil
Robert Thielicke ist Unit Director Health bei PIABO, Europas führender PR-Agentur für die digitale Wirtschaft. Er verfügt über mehr als 20 Jahre Erfahrung in der Medizin- und Technologiekommunikation, war Redakteur für Sonderprojekte bei Focus, einem der größten wöchentlichen Nachrichtenmagazine in Deutschland, und Chefredakteur der MIT Technology Review (deutsche Ausgabe). Er initiierte die Eventreihe “Innovators Summit” mit Veranstaltungen zu Digital Health, AI und Smart Energy, organisierte den Wettbewerb “Innovatoren unter 35” und ist ein erfahrener Redner und Moderator, u.a. bei Bits&Pretzels, der StartupNight der Deutschen Telekom und dem Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF).

Robert Thielicke besitzt ein Diplom in Biologie und Ethnologie von der Universität Heidelberg.

Speakerprofil
Philipp Ess ist Partner bei avocado rechtsanwälte in Frankfurt am Main und Fachanwalt für gewerblichen Rechtsschutz. Mit über 15 Jahren Erfahrung berät er Unternehmen in den Bereichen Patentrecht, Wettbewerbsrecht und Lizenzvertragsrecht. Zudem ist er Experte für IT-Recht, E-Commerce sowie Handels- und Vertriebsrecht.

Er studierte Rechtswissenschaften an der Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz und ist seit 2015 Fachanwalt für gewerblichen Rechtsschutz. Philipp Ess ist Mitglied der Deutschen Gesellschaft für gewerblichen Rechtsschutz und Urheberrecht e.V. (GRUR) und engagiert sich im Sportrecht beim Deutschen Motorsportbund e.V., wo er als Beisitzer tätig ist.
