This Week at Xpomet 2019!
It’s been a busy week as ever here at Xpomet – we’re planning our big kick-off party next week in Berlin – but that doesn’t mean we haven’t been keeping abreast of the news.
As ever, the future of medicine is our business and we’ve been reading up on just where healthcare is going and a few of the challenges that are facing digital health in the near future.
Obviously, the biggest story in the news at the moment is the ongoing Brexit discussions in the UK, so we got our media manager Mike to deep-dive the issue and work out what the implications of the United Kingdom crashing out of the European Union without a deal might be for healthcare: take a read of it here to learn more.
Back at the end of last week, we were able to announce our first speaker for Xpomet 2019 – and what a speaker it is. Rasu Shresthra is one of the most respected names in Digital Health: he’s currently Chief Innovation Officer at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, as well as an established public speaker and writer on all things regarding the future of medicine. You can get a taste of the sort of insights that he will be providing us with in October by listening in to this conversation he had with Tjasa Zajc on her Faces of Digital Health podcast last year.
On Wednesday, we shared our favourite article of the week, and it was a real groundbreaker: the news that a digital pill is being developed that can inform doctors when it has been taken.
Great work from Proteas Digital Health on that one – and keep an eye out for them in the near future…
And of course, if all this appeals to you – then sign up now for your ticket to Xpomet 2019, the conference that brings all the biggest names in Digital Health together.
